The one it is really for

Advance-fee scams are the most common thing posted into job groups. Kariaa describes the posting, never the employer, and will not call a named company fraudulent.

A clean result is reported as “nothing tripped my checks”, never as proof that a job is genuine.

What a moderator is agreeing to

It speaks only when addressed

A message that starts with /kariaa, mentions it, or replies to it. Ordinary conversation gets no reply, no reaction, no direct message, and on Telegram never reaches our servers at all.

It knows nothing about your members

No member profiles and nothing to look up about anyone. Anything personal is declined in the channel and moved to a private message, and emails, phone numbers and addresses are stripped from replies before they send.

You choose what it answers

/kariaa settings lists what is on and lets an admin switch off a whole topic, so a community that bans job adverts can keep the scam checks and drop the listings. /kariaa off silences it entirely, and removing it works exactly as it does for any member.

Discord shows you this list on its authorisation screen. Slack asks for four narrow scopes, Reddit for its standard app permission, and Telegram needs none at all.
